Diwali Celebrations @ Hyd 2008

Diwali Celebrations @ Hyd !!

Started with shopping... shopping & shopping.......... but the malls seemed to have opened only for us... there were so empty...
Bought some lovely candles for my team .. hoped they all liked it !!
Was waiting for dusk to arrive to start the crackling sound of crackers bought from office... an assorted box.. for which i did get to hear "should have got selective items"...
Aadi .. my 7 year old son kept checking as to when we would start...
Aarav .. my 2.5 yr old son repeated that he was scared of them..but did agree at the end to fire....
Got few of them down but by then mom dad decided to go for Kali puja.. they took aarav along with them... and me and my dear friend had decided to go to radhika's place.. but as mom dad came late we dropped our idea.. and were happy about our decision...

From twinkling starts to hydrogen bombs.. we burnt all.. called an audience of 5 girls to watch... but they were scared to even hold the simplest one !! & hid behind my car...came upstairs and got dinner ready for aadi & aarav... but navi did not want to eat chicken so made some lady finger fry with a challenge to serve quick.. me and mangu struggled in the kitchen only to realise that mom does this job best !!!!

29th - we were all set ... did some more shopping .. got a long pending wish completed i.e a frock for myself...returned home to find mom dad exhausted as never before..because of the fast for the first laxmi pujo at home.. which forced dad to make some delicious dhaka goodies.... gathered last year & this crackers and went down...

For a change aadi started bursting crackers with the help of Navi... twinkling starts .. flow
er pots ... one bomb and a pencil... Aarav too had his share .....but by closing his eye with one hand of his......there was also a moment captured where aadi dad & navi are lighting a flower pot at the same time.....quite a good one !!

Kids did not miss mom's picnic as she always does.... she carried dinner downstairs for the kids.. litterally ran behind them to feed.. i do have the supporting evidence... we all enjoyed but missed the presence of the most loved one ... Anil..... Aadi mentioned a couple of times "it would have been great to have dad here"
We finished and them decided to fire rockets in the kali pujo ground...with many securities around we left the packet in the car itself... took a round there had an egg roll (ended up with a stomach upset)... and aadi some soft drink...

came back home had mom made luchi...was extremely tired as the day was long...
so Diwali celebrations ended with old acquintances wishes and close friend's holiday @ my place....
